Who we are…

Hilary is the Managing Director of Drama Workshops UK and works in association with a small group of highly experienced professional drama practitioners.  She is a Freelance Drama in Education specialist with a BA in Theatre and a PGCE in Drama. She has worked as an Actor, Drama Teacher, Director and Writer with some of the top theatre and puppet companies in the country and a wide range of schools. She teaches on University courses, runs drama days in schools and teacher INSET training.

Where we are…

Hilary works in the Midlands, South East and East Anglian Regions of the UK, some of the workshops can be delivered in other locations by three qualified and experienced drama in education specialists, all of whom work as highly respected practitioners in their own right. Zannie Fraser

Zannie Fraser trained in physical theatre and movement in Paris and has worked with some of the countries leading physical theatre, foreign language, mask and puppet companies. She is a freelance Drama practitioner running sessions in puppet and shadow theatre exploration, making and performance in primary, secondary and FE colleges. She also teaches on University courses and teacher INSET training.

She is developing drama sessions for primary schools in learning and performing elementary French.

Zannie holds a BA in Classics from the University of Manchester and is applying to do an MA in Applied Theatre at Goldsmiths.

Leigh Gardner

Leigh holds a Diploma in Drama from Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama; a Diploma in Counselling from Wigan and Leigh College and an MA in Urban Education from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Leigh works in primary, secondary and special schools delivering and managing projects which enhance the curriculum and encourage young learners to reach their full potential.

Leigh works in the Midlands and Northern England regions.

Peter Kennedy

Drama in Education

Peter Kennedy is a drama in education specialist and freelance trainer with over twenty years’ experience. Working in partnership with schools to develop creativity, Peter is currently involved in both ‘The Writing Game’ project and the Children’s Shakespeare Festival. In addition Peter supports the development of trainee teachers in his role as an Associate Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Peter works in the Midlands and Northern England regions.

Paul Mayers

Paul is a theatre director, project manager, performance poet and Director of Curriculum Plus – a Consultancy for the cultural sector. He currently mentors a team of 20 Creative Experts who deliver digital arts projects across the UK. Devising new theatre with young people is his great passion.
